Oh no,
it's my exam today!

Once the day of the examination arrives, don’t panic about how much revision you did (or didn’t) do. Try to stay as calm and relaxed as you can.
Remember that it doesn’t matter if you can’t do every question perfectly - you will be able to answer a lot of questions and pick up good marks.

Some tips for the exam day:
Make sure you know the date and time of your examination.
Arrive on time.
Bring basic equipment with you. You will need a pen, pencil, ruler, rubber and either a basic or a scientific calculator. Make sure the batteries in your calculator work.
If you have your own mathematical instruments (compasses, angle measurer etc) you can bring these with you, but they will be provided in the exam room for people who don’t have them.

During the exam:
Read the questions carefully.
Make sure you follow any instructions.
Pace yourself – in most exams you have just over one minute per mark, so a two mark question should take about two minutes, a three mark question should take about three minutes and so on.
Show your working, or write down the calculation that you did as well as the answer – even when you use a calculator.
Try to keep relaxed, you will work more effectively.
